Apologies for the absence.

Have been back to work and as such time is a bit more scarcer...

anyway as some of you might know, the liver is slowly failing due to multiple blockages in the bile duct. If i'm not mistaken this could have stemmed from the hepatic artery not being able to provide good enough blood flow.

As such he will require another transplant in a few months time. At the moment he is on the cadaveric transplant list as a priority but his parents are also considered as donors should there be no livers available. The main reason y the parents weren't considered as the donors and instead i stepped up to donate was because that having the parents as carriers of the genetic condition, might not cause a reversal of the MSUD that he has after the transplant (we were succesful after this transplant to remove the MSUD)

So having the parents to donate, might actually lead us back to square one, right at the beginning at a condition prior to donation with Sage having MSUD. If you feel in your heart compelled by this story and would like to help out do let me know. He needs a B blood group donor.

As a donor i was in hospital for 4 days after which i was given 5 weeks of rest. Now i'm back to work and see no adverse reaction from the donation..

At the mooment Sage is his lifely self without knowing the turmoils that are going on within him. He's back to being happy and cheerful and playing about except that he appears to be a bit jaundiced (yellow skinned and slightly yellow round the eyes)

Anyway, here are some not too recent videos of him.

Thanks for reading
